David M. Greenberg

Vice-President/CFO

In addition to being a co-founder and owner of Delta Mechanical, Inc., David has had over 30 years of construction finance and management experience. Remaining with Delta through the KeySpan years and the re-purchase of the company, David acts as the liaison between the business operation and the financial community. His financial background has helped Delta Mechanical secure high bonding capacities and lines of credit. Upon his graduation from Boston University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and earning a Master of Science in Taxation from Bryant College, David was employed by an international public accounting firm where he was introduced to the construction industry. David then worked as the Vice-President of Finance for Marshall Contractors, Inc., and later as an independent CPA.

OUR STAFF – BUILD ON OUR EXPERIENCE

Our Delta family includes many more essential employees. From our Purchasing Agents to our Project Managers to our Commissioning Department, our company has retained many long-term employees that provide quality and excellence to the industry. With strong work ethics and loyalty, the individuals at Delta unite to provide successful projects to our customers and project owners.

OUR WORKFORCE

Delta Mechanical’s labor force is comprised primarily of union plumbers, pipefitters and sprinklerfitters. Being able to draw the most experienced of workers from a union hall ensures available skilled craftsmen at all times. These tradesmen and apprentices take pride in their work and in our projects. Many of these men and women have been with Delta since the Company was founded in 1991.

These are our principal sources of labor. When we are awarded a project outside the jurisdiction of these unions, reciprocity with other locals allows us to hire tradesmen from outside our local. We currently have reciprocal agreements with Plumbers Local 12 & Pipefitters Local Union 537 in the Boston area and Plumbers & Pipefitters Local Union 4 in the Western Massachusetts area, as well as Sprinklerfitters Local Union 550 for Boston and Cape Cod. This gives us the freedom to bid work beyond the reach of our current locals while still maintaining cost effectiveness for our clients.

SAFETY BEGINS WITH ME

Safety on the project site is vital to all. That is why our safety motto stresses the importance of employee awareness regarding “safe” working practices. Through education and training of our employees, along with a compelling Safety Program, Delta has been able to engage its workforce to actively participate in making each and every job-site a safe job-site.

With an in-house Safety Officer qualified as an OSHA 500 Trainer leading our efforts, we have reached many company goals and continue to improve our safe practices. In addition to performing Job Hazard Analyses (JHA’s) on each job-site, our Safety Officer has established directives to inform our employees of the Company’s mandatory procedures. This process begins on the first day of employment. Weekly “Toolbox Talks” covering a wide array of pertinent safety practices for construction job-sites, are performed by our Foremen and are monitored by the Safety Officer. We have a “zero tolerance” policy with respect to unsafe practices. As a result, our insurance experience modification rate (EMR) remains below industry averages.
